The Kings of Africa Make us Proud Again!

Rugby Sevens, also known as seven-a-side or VIIs is a variant of rugby union in which teams are made up of seven players, instead of the usual 15, with shorter matches. It is administered by the International Rugby Board (IRB), the body responsible for rugby union worldwide.

The national sevens team in Kenya is currently one of the 12 “core teams” in the IRB Sevens World Series and it has proved its ascendancy through various victories in tournaments. Currently, it lifted its confederations trophy by beating Zimbabwe 24-19 in the finals therefore emerging as the kings of Africa.
In spite of the great competition, they managed to step a notch higher since they saw their mistakes on the first day and worked hard to try and correct them. This was the first time that Africa has held a competition of great magnitude and Kenya will be glad to be a pioneer in such an initiative which puts them on the map as the most powerful Sevens team in the continent in the exception of South Africa. Poaching, a slayer of Tourism

Africa, a famous tourist destination for wildlife where no other place on earth has such a diversified wildlife is being threatened by poaching, the main species under threat being rhinos and elephants. People came in large numbers and they enjoyed watching this big animals walking majestically in their natural habitat as if they owned it. That was then, but what about now?

The worst way to die is one minute you are happily eating fresh green grass and the next you are being shot or hacked to death! Hopefully you can’t see what is happening, then the lights go out, your suffering ends……Poaching is never pretty or humane. Where Is The Wildebeest Migration Now?

Its 15 April 2013 and the herds are starting their great migration north and the front row seats are at Kusini, Seronera wildlife lodge, Asilia’s Dunia Camp and serengeti serena lodge. Situated in a remote location, Kusini is the only permanent tented camp in the southern Serengeti. The lodge is built on a rocky outcrop and is surrounded by woodland, offering beautiful views from anywhere in the camp.
