Emirates set to resume flights from Nairobi

Emirates airline will be resuming passenger services from Nairobi effective 02nd August 2020.
The airline will be operating three times a week being on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Emirates’ local departure from Dubai will be 1015hrs while the local departure from Nairobi will be 1635hrs.

At the same time, in an official communication Emirates stated that the health and safety protocols and measures need to be upheld. Passengers will be subjected to local entry requirements of the individual countries. Check-in at JKIA at Terminal 1B will be 4hrs before departure as per government travel protocols and will close 90 minutes before departure. Read More

Qatar allows citizens, permanent residents to travel and return anytime

Qatar on Wednesday relaxed restrictions aimed at controlling the novel coronavirus, allowing citizens and permanent residency holders to travel outside the country and return at any time, and residents outside the country to return starting Aug. 1.

The government communications office (GCO) said arrivals from low-risk countries are required to take a coronavirus test at the airport and sign a formal pledge to adhere to quarantine at home for a week, state news agency (QNA) reported on its twitter account, citing a statement from GCO. Emirates to Resume Flights to Addis Ababa, Guangzhou, Oslo and Tehran

Emirates has announced it will resume flights to Tehran (from 17 July), Guangzhou (from 25 July), Addis Ababa (from 1 August), and Oslo (from 4 August), expanding connectivity for customers with these latest cities rejoining its network across the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa, and Europe.

This will take the airline’s passenger network to 62 destinations in August, offering customers around the world more convenient connections to Dubai, and via Dubai.

All flights will be operated with the Emirates Boeing 777-300ER and can be booked on emirates.com or via travel agents. Read More

Emirates resumes flights to six further destinations

Emirates plans to restore services to a further six destinations from 15 July to 15 August, bringing the carrier’s network to 58 cities.

The Middle Eastern carrier plans to resume flights to Geneva from 15 July, Los Angeles from 22 July, Dar es Salaam from 1 August, Prague and Sao Paulo from 2 August, and Boston from 15 August.

“We’ve seen an uptick in customer interest and demand since the announcement of Dubai’s re-opening, and also with the increased travel options that we offer as we gradually re-establish our network connectivity,” says chief commercial officer Adnan Kazim. “We continue to work closely with all stakeholders to resume flight operations while ensuring that all necessary measures to safeguard the health and safety of our customers and employees are in place.” Read More
