KATA announces partnership with AMREF

The Kenya Association of Travel Agents is pleased to announce that it has partnered with Amref Health Africa to provide KATA certified agents with access to Covid19, PCR testing services provided at their Amref clinic based on a preferential tariff, access to a dedicated call center and a medical team that is ready to facilitate the Covid19 PCR testing services by appointment.

The Covid19 pandemic has mandated that passengers must undergo a mandatory PCR test and they must test negative prior to undertaking their travel. The KATA and Amref Health Africa partnership will enable the travel agents to book test appointments on behalf of the passenger, and to secure an appointment for the Covid19 PCR test to be performed at the Amref clinic located next to the Wilson Airport, off Langata road. Naivasha Weekend Getaway

Located 93km from the capital, Nairobi, is a large town on the basin of the rift valley. The town is on the shores of Lake Naivasha which is the highest elevation of the Kenyan Rift Valley at 1886m in a complex geological combination of volcanic rocks and sedimentary deposits from a larger Pleistocene Era lake. The lake is home to a variety of types of wildlife including over 400 different species of bird and a sizable population of hippos. Explore Samburu

Samburu National Reserve is situated at the southeastern corner of Samburu District in the Rift Valley Province of Kenya. It is bordered to the south by Ewaso Nyiro River, which separates it from the Buffalo Springs National Reserve.
The reserve covers an area of 165 Km² and is located around 345Km from Nairobi.
The reserve is located in the semi-arid ecological zone-V, the days are extremely hot will the nights are cool.

The Reserve is rich in wildlife with fame for abundance in rare northern specialist species such as the Grevy Zebra, Somali Ostrich, Reticulated Giraffe, Gerenuk and the Beisa Oryx (Also referred as Samburu Special). The reserve is also popular with a minimum of 900 elephants. The third most populated town in Kenya, Nakuru is a popular destination to spend the weekend. Some of the popular attractions include Hyrax Hill Prehistoric -4km outside Nakuru, is a great spot for a peaceful amble away from the rhinos and tourists. It contains a museum and the remains of three settlements excavated between 1937 and the late 1980s, the oldest being possibly 3000 years old, the most recent 200 to 300 years old.
