Literally means “the stone of the first wife”. The rock is about 70 to 80 ft high.
Visit KIT MIKAYI to see the hanging stones & caves. Kit Mikayi is one of Kenya’s most dramatic archaeological site, a vast granite rock tower. Also indulge in local cuisine. The Local food is excellent (Fresh Tilapia from the lake).
Kit Mikayi is situated in Kisumu district, Maseno division, East – Seme – location, Kit – Mikayi sub-location, Kangeso village, Kadol clan.
Climbing the rocks to the top was tasking though adventurous and the entrance fee is pocket friendly. I managed also to get some people praying making at the base and inside the caves in the rock. The views are great! There is always a group of women to treat you to a Luo traditional dance when you hike down!
