Day 1: Arrival & Transfer To The Hotel In Kampala (Journey time: 45mins - 1hr)

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by a member of our team who will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala. Arrive at the hotel & stay at leisure while enjoying the cool breeze of Lake Victoria.

Day 2: Road Trip To Lake Mburo National Park (Journey time: 4-5Hrs)

Early in the morning after breakfast you will be picked from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala so as to start off your journey to Lake Mburo National Park. Take a stopover at the Equator for a photo moment and some demonstrations by a specialized tour guide.

Lake Mburo National Park is conveniently located close to the Kampala– Mbarara highway, with a gem of wildlife in the middle of an extensive rich acacia woodland. The park is home to 332 bird species including the rare African fin foot, shoebill, papyrus gonolek, yellow warbler, saddle billed stork, brown chested wattle, plover among others.

Upon arrival you will have your lunch at your lodge, and in the evening you will have a game drive. After the drive you will be back to your lodge for relaxation.

Day 3: The Mburo Wildlife Experience & Boat Cruise

Early in the morning after breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the woodland acacia. Expect a variety of flora and fauna comprised of Zebras, Roth’s child giraffe, Elephants, Elands, Wart Hogs, Topi, Kobs and by chance some Leopards.

Spot some rare bird species mainly water and swamp birds like; Papyrus gonolek, Yellow Warbler, Saddle-billed Stork, Cisticola, White-winged Warbler and many more. Proceed to the Salt licks and get onto the viewing platform where you will be able to watch animals licking salt to supplement their diet.

After your game drive you will return to your lodge and enjoy your lunch. Later on, go for an afternoon boat cruise.

During your boat cruise, watch more animals together with water birds as many come down the lake during afternoon hours for water & cooling off. Here you will spot the African fin foot, king fishers, fish eagle among others including reptiles like crocodiles and some snakes.

After your cruise you will have an opportunity to engage in some optional activities like horseback rides and walking safari through the park where you will view more wildlife, including elands, zebras, buffaloes and more grazers.

Day 4: Scenic Trip To Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (Journey time: 5hrs: 45min)

Early in the morning after breakfast check out of your lodge, enjoy your scenic drive through the rolling hills of Ntungamo and Kabale to Bwindi. Upon arrival you will check into your lodge and spend the rest of the day at leisure or explore optional activities.

Optional excursions/activities include; Village walks, Canoe rides, Story telling by the bonfire, Cultural dance, Batwa cultural experience and Birding.

Day 5: Gorilla Tracking Day | Cultural Encounter

Early in the morning after breakfast, take part in the days main activity; Gorilla tracking comprised of over 346 bird species, 400 plant species, 202 butterfly species, 163 tree species and the most astonishing scenic views.
Gorilla tracking is a captivating and unforgettable experience which gives you a chance visit one of the 9 habituated gorilla families; but tracking can be challenging and one needs to be reasonably fit before venturing into the activity.

Briefing starts at 08:00am with the main activity starting exactly 08:30am lasting for an hour or more depending on where the gorillas were left previously. Later on after tracking, you will return to the lodge and have your lunch at leisure.

Day 6: Bwindi To Kigali, City Tour & Departure (Journey time: 5-6Hrs)

After your breakfast, check out and leave Bwindi taking the most scenic route to Kigali. Upon arrival, you will have a city tour of Kigali, with visits to Kigali genocide memorial site. The site provided an opportunity to offer a place in which the bereaved could bury their families and friends, and over 250,000 victims are now buried at the site.

This site also includes three permanent exhibitions, the largest of which documents the genocide in 1994. There is also a children's memorial, and an exhibition on the history of genocidal violence around the world; the Education Centre, Memorial Gardens and National Documentation Centre of the Genocide all contribute to a meaningful tribute to those who perished, and form a powerful educational tool for the next generation.

After the tour, you will have some rest and then, be transferred to the airport so as to check in for your next home departure flight.
