Ascending mount Kenya through Naru-Moru is the most popular and the quickest to the southern side of mount Kenya. Most hikers to Mount Kenya get best access to it from Nairobi through Naru-Moru. Mount Kenya Naru-Moru route to Teleki valley is therefore the shortest way to its peaks. Its the most densely populated mount Kenya route because its the shortest route up. Hikers like it for its obvious trail.

Day 1: Arrive Mount Kenya

Depart Nairobi at 0800hrs and drive towards the Mount Kenya region whereafter a 3 hour drive you will reach Naromoru where you meet the guide for briefing and sorting of the equipments. Thereafter proceed to the Naromoru Park gate on the Naromoru route where you start the trek. The guide will set a leisurely pace for a relaxing trek up on the mountain.

Today's trek helps you to acclimatize and enjoy seeing fascinating vegetation zones of an equatorial mountain and the associated rich animal and bird life. Packed Lunch is provided en-route. The trek takes 3 hrs to the Met station where we spend the night in the Mountain log cabins (altitude of 3,050m).

Day 2: Mount Kenya

After breakfast hike upwards past the forest line to moorland zone covered by Tussock grass and Heathers zone onto the Teleki valley to the crest of the ridge from which vantage point you have a splendid view of the main peaks of Mount Kenya. Packed lunch is provided en-route. Walking time is approximately 6 to 7 hours to the Teleki lodge for an overnight rest at an altitude of 4,200m.

Day 3: Mount Kenya

A pre-dawn start is made to ensure a successful summit bid and also in time for clear view of the majestic scenery after sunrise. With the help of the guide, ascend to the third highest peak ( Point Lenana - 4985 m, 4-5 hr) and then descend down to Teleki lodge for breakfast and rest. In the afternoon, proceed to hike down though the moorland to Met. Station, arriving in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Departure

After breakfast descend through the forest to the park gate and be picked and transferred to Naromoru.
