One of the elephant carcasses found!!!

Tempers are raging high over the killing of these 11 gentle giants by poachers in Tsavo,       Samburu. This by far is the largest number of animals to be poached in the Kenyan history!!!! The Kenya Wildlife service is out to get the and is contemplating if it has reached the point of implementing the ‘shoot on to kill’ policy! They engaged the public on their twitter page and many have come up and out and responded to the affirmative with alternatively stating that they should kill the game!

Conservationists and nature lovers have not been sparse about their outrage and are pulling from all their resources to have poaching stopped!!!! The heated debate arises from the fact that their is still a good market out their to allow the steady market and trade of ivory with China being the main market!

This all just in after a recent poaching of 3 rhinos where one of the Kenya Wildlife rangers was shot twice but gratefully has survived. The ranger was adamant to state that he will still protect the wildlife as that his calling from God as a way to serve his nation…..that right there is patriotism passion… a calling of sorts if we must add!

One of the Poached Rhinos

We at Silverbird Travel were quit saddened by this and as an environment conscience company… we are fully behind the Kenya Wildlife Services in their bid against animal poaching and wildlife conservation and are saying… “KILL THE TRADE!!!!!”
